Love

So earlier we talked about having faith to move mountains! I bet you are wondering why I am bringing that up! Well the reason is there is a STEP TWO! I know you are excited now! Okay so step two to moving trials and tribulations is to have LOVE! The Bible says if you have FAITH to move mountains but have not LOVE you have NOTHING! So truly if you have that faith and you still aren't moving mountains it's because you lack LOVE!  I am not talking that boyfriend/girlfriend love I am talk love that is so strong that you are willing to lay you life down for the SINS of the world! Okay? So we say I love you all the time but to really love oh my word if we really loved one another as Christ has loved us, which is the great commandment, we would not have as many problems as we have now!

So John 3:16 says "So God so LOVED the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son." God loved us so much that He GAVE Jesus as a sacrifice for this undeserving, ungrateful, disrespecting, judging, sinful, and broken people! He GAVE as in it was a gift, we have done nothing to receive this! Right now you are probably like 'Braxton we have heard this a thousand times', and you probably have but guess what first you obviously haven't applied that LOVE to your life and two I don't really care! God so loved the world He made His Son die for us, many times we read He loved the WORLD but I want you to know He also loved His SON! I cannot imagine giving up my family for people that are going to take the chance given to them for granted! Everytime we sin God hurts. He made His son die so that we may live and yet we SIN and yet Jesus says Abba forgive them I paid the price! So that same love that PAID the price that same love we continue to run to after we sin, or when we are hurt, or when we feel that we have nobody that LOVE that is found in CHRIST that love is the LOVE we all need! So this week as you pray I want you to ask God to give you His LOVE, ask if you could have the same love that paid the price!

Relationships & Music

Today is Sunday!! So today while at church I started to question what worship really is to me. As many things rolled through my had as what was I going to eat for lunch, to how was I going to get my computer fixed, to man I have homework, and lastly Where and when do I find God the most! Out of all those VERY important things I decided to think about where and when I find God the most, although my computer still needs to be fixed and I still have homework to do, and man I was really hungry! As I thought I came to a conclusion that I find God the most in TWO keys things, first is MUSIC, then second is talking to other youth about Christ! So as I though about music and how I saw God in that I realized that it's my way of WORSHIPPING the Creator! Music is very important I guess to this generation, if we were to take music away from teenagers for a whole 24 hour period we just might have a HUGE problem! So as I said am I just picking music because I enjoy it but now I notice that I am not! I am picking music because through other peoples music I can see multiple things, one I can see how there walk with Christ is, two I can see what they believe in, and lastly I can see what type of impact they would like to have on the listeners! There are many artists you are very talented but I feel haven't choosen the write things to write about! Chris Tomlin and Logan Jones Music two of my favorite artists have from what I can see accepted that Christ has given them a gift and it is their DUTY or JOB to give back to HIM as HE has given to them! Okay now you know what I feel about music and worhip keep reading to hear about my most favorite part of worship is!

My favorite part of worship is RELATIONSHIPS! Relationships are so very important in the body of Christ and in worship! Now I am not talking that girlfriend/boyfriend relationship I am talk that getting to know and being there for your brother and sister in Christ relationship! This is so important to me because at the age of 14 I have had many of these some that are just brief for example me just giving advice to some that last a lifetime to where I have a big/little brother or sister that I have always wanted! I have had many people look up to me or ask me for advice and from that I have had so many relationships! One that is fairly new but one of my must favorite is the one with my little brother Josh Shaffer! Josh is so amazing and talented and he there WHENEVER I need him and I for him! So long story short don't be afraid to tell someone your past, don't be afraid to ask for advice, don't be afraid to get to know someone because Christ calls to have relationships! Many of you don't know this but over the suummer the devil really started to attack me and I started feel like my roots in Christ were being pulled up and if it was not for the relationships I had with Christopher Broskie and Josh Shaffer I would not be writing this today! Sometimes telling your family isn't always what you need you need someone you want scream or yell or judge you; you need to have a relationship! If you read this and are wondering WHO can I start a relationship with right now, I want you to know I am always available start with me!

Only if we really had faith!

This week God has really shown Himself to me! First a song by Addison Road called 'Hope Now' has been on my heart all week! Today's topic God placed on my heart last week!

Only if we had faith comes from the scripture in Matthew where Jesus says 'If you have FAITH as SMALL as a mustard SEED you will be able to tell a MOUNTAIN to MOVE from here to there!' Now I want you to key in on the letters in caps! First faith is believing in something you can't see the absence of things hoped for and evidence of things unseen! So Jesus is saying if we faith as small as a mustard seed we could me mountains. I believe when He says mountains He doesn't mean physical mountains but, the daily trials and tribulations that we go through everyday! Only if we had this FAITH we wouldn't always be offened, we wouldn't always get upset, and we would be so happy. But instead we live life with this thing we call 'faith' but I want to tell you something that faith that you have is not working OR you just choose not to call on the King of Kings! This faith that can move mountain, faith that can move trials, faith as small as a mustard seed this faith is the faith Jesus calls us to have! So this week I encourage you to have true genuine faith! I urge you to live a life trusting and have faith in this person you cannot see but you know He is there!
Let us pray,
God this week I pray that you give these folks FAITH. Father I mean faith that is so true and so genuine that they could move these trials or mountains! Lord someone needs to here this and I hope they actually have this faith. God I hope that this faith will also be with me Lord, that I will not be offened over the little things! In Jesus name... Amen
